A few months ago I was sent Science Unit Studies for Homeschoolers and Teachers by Susan Kilbride to review.
Now judging from my blog, you can probably see that I am alot more into Arts'n crafts and Science is not really my thing.
Fortunately, I was blessed with a very curious little boy who LOVES everything Science. He wants to know why, how, when, if, what, where, EVERYTHING about anything.
This Science Unit Study book is great. It is very clear, very simple to follow and understand and makes teaching many concepts that I would have probably preferred to skip, actually enjoyable and teachable. My kids love it.
It covers subjects for kids ages 4-13, such as Our Senses, The Human Body, Animals, Magnets, Plants, Atoms, Molecules, Chemistry, Weather, Light and Color and more.
Click here to take a look at the entire index. It is available at Amazon for $11.69. There are plenty of illustrations, and it is a really great resource to have as a part of your Homeschool curriculum.
I must mention that there is a chapter on Dinosaurs and how they lived millions of years ago etc. As a religious Jew with different beliefs, we simply skipped that chapter.
~My kids are enjoying it alot and it will last us a while~
What an awesome game- especially for Shabbos! It comes with 9 dice, each with a different picture on each side. You can play many different ways, but we play that each one of us gets 2-3 dice, roll it at our turn and begin a story using the picture it lands on-
This is so much fun, my 4 year old can play with us as well. You can check it out here. There is also Rory's Story Cubes- Actions, where each picture is of an action (running, spinning, etc.) which we also reviewed, and yes, just as fun!!!
Rory's Story Cubes are great games for Yom Tov and Shabbos as well as travel~ highly recommended!
Little Passports is a pretty awesome way to inspire a great interest and understanding of the world as your kids learn about a country's geography, history, culture, and language in a really fun way. Almost like a little continent box being delivered to your kids each month, except, its different countries.
Every month, two characters Sofia and Sam travel to a different country and send your child an exciting package. Sam and Sofia are cute characters but check out their website to get a better look at them.
In each months package is a letter from Sam and Sofia describing their adventures in a certain country, unique souvenirs and gifts from that country and a secret code to access their online Boarding Zone full of games & activities
The First Month's Explorer Kit, which I received, included an adorable blue travel suitcase with an introductory letter from Sofia and Sam, a World wall map, Travel passport, stickers, an Activity sheet and access to online games and activities with a boarding pass.
My kids loved the little blue suitcase, stickers and World map.
Since I have only reviewed the First Month’s Explorer Kit, I have not seen what is inside each countries package- but I love the whole idea!

This is a fabulous e-book FILLED with over 250 Montessori activities to do with your kids at home. It also guides you through the entire process of doing Montessori early learning activities at home. Montessori at Home is filled with pictures, activities, print outs and is a very worthwhile investment in my opinion!

Granted, my oldest is 6-- but this workbook is so fun. Homophones are words that sound the same but are spelled differently, like son and sun, too and two. Even my 4 year old is into it raising many eyebrows when in a room full of adults blurts out, "hey mommy, cool is a homonym! I am waiting for my soup to get cool and I am a super cool girl!" :)
I am usually a very visual person and although this book is a black and white workbook, its a very cool workbook, we've had alot of fun with it. You can get more info here.
